Today I went to see the assistant principle Matsushita. He is one of the assistant principles at Minoshima High School. We talked about logistics about the first day, class, and club activities. Afterwards I went to see my first host family. I found out that my daily commute is about 5 km one way on a bicycle. Then I went to see some friends that I know that live near Wakayama city. I met them at Kainan train station. They used to live in the US when I was in preschool and elementary school. I meet them every year when I come back to Japan because they live nearby. This year we went to "kaiten sushi" (spinning sushi). Kaiten sushi is where sushi comes on a conveyor belt, and you take the sushi that you want off the belt. My relative picked me up at the family restaurant. They drove me back and we played Shogi (Japanese chess) and had tea.

ReplyDeleteSounds fun! Are you going to be able to participate in table tennis?
