Today I went fishing with my host brothers. We caught gashira, isaki, small horse mackerel, and sometimes puffer fish (we had to put those back because it is poisonous). We fished off the large tetra pods that are by the ocean. It is a little dangerous because if you fall you will get seriously injured. The tetra pods are very large, and the gap is very big. Between the gaps there is gashira, and on the ocean side there is isaki and small horse mackerel. We took the fish back to the house in a cooler, and my host mother gutted the fish to eat later. They said that they would make "karage", fry, with it. After that we had yakiniku which was very good.

How many fish did you catch? (By the way, it is tetrapods, not tetra pots.)
ReplyDeleteWe caught enough fish for dinner one night for the family. I will fix the spelling error.
DeleteIn Japanese it is テトラポット
