Today after a regular day at school I went to Ueda san's house to see Hannah before she goes to different areas of Japan. Many of her relatives were over. She is traveling around Japan a little before going back to Florida. I also stopped at the "tanbo no gakkou", rice patty school, which is a rice patty that is run by the elementary school. The elementary school harvests a rice patty every year. Instead of using chemicals they use "aigamo", ducks, which eat many of the pests in the rice patty. They had put the ducks in the patty today, so I went to have a look. They were very cute. I also met my old friend Souta. He was with his girlfriend and youngest brother. He is a friend that I used to play baseball with. He goes to Chuou high school and is one year older than me.

At night there was a large earthquake at Nigata. It was 6.8 magnitude. There is a tsunami threat, and it is a big deal on the news. Although it is not very important around where I am, it is still a large reminder that the threat is always around. There was tsunamis around the height of 1.2 meters.
