Today after school I decided to go to the shogi dojo in Fujinami. It is around 10 km from Minoshima high school. I stopped at a Family Mart to get a piece of bread and a drink. Then I went slightly the wrong way, and almost ended up on train tracks. There was a road that I thought cut through to Fujinami, but ended up at a dead end. The dead end did not have a physical thing to stop me, but instead the road led straight onto the train tracks. I had to back track a little to get back on the main road and reroute myself. When I got there the door was closed. I looked all around for Ura san, the dojo owner. There was cinder blocks in front of his door. The usual "Oushou dojo" sign was still there. He would always leave the door open even when he was gone, so people can play there. However everything was closed. I hope that he is alright because he was not doing so well last year. Afterwards I biked to my grandma's house to keep her company because nobody was home at my host family's house until later. Then I went home.
おじいさん 元気だといいね。でも 本当にしまっているなら、看板がなくなっていると思うけど。
