Today after school I practiced igo with Ounishi. He is a very good igo player, and he is going to be at the tournament tomorrow with me. We practiced for about 3 hours, and I think that I am finally figuring out some basic shapes that are dead and alive. Then I went to table tennis practice. I went on a "kaidashi", big shopping, with Kodama. On my team there is a running joke that Kodama and I look the same. I had to buy "okashi", snacks, for tomorrow. Since you are consistently thinking in igo your blood sugar can drop, so people eat many sweets. Afterwards I went home to my grandma's house to pick up the information paper about the tournament tomorrow that I left at her house. She had made yakisoba. Then I went back to my host family's house for dinner. They had leftover from the yakiniku yesterday, iwashi sashimi, and iwashi eggs. The iwashi was given to us by a relative that had just gone fishing. The eggs were in the fish when they had gutted it. At night for some reason we started talking about magic tricks, and I decided to show them some that I used to do when I was younger. During elementary and middle school I used to love magic tricks. It was fun to do them again for a change.
Sounds like a fun day. Will you compete in the igo tournament?
