New Host Family (Day 31)

This morning I went to the river to catch fish with Ueda san's family.  The place that I thought we were going to go down had no water in it.  So I had to find another place to go down.  The first thing that I caught was a turtle.  The turtle had not right arm which was very sad.  We are keeping it in a tank for now.

The turtle was basically the only thing that we caught.  One of the girls caught two "hai", a type of fish.  However they are a very weak type of fish and die very quickly in captivity, so we released it.  Afterwards I prepared to move to my new host family.  My new host family lives in the mountains again.  They live on a road called the Kumano Kodou.  It is the same road that I walked on my field trip, but a different segment.  They are a very nice host family.  My host father used to be one of my baseball coaches in elementary school.   My host brother Haru's cousin and aunt came over today.  They had dinner which was temaki sushi.

  1. Great to hear that you met your grandma, Hiko chan and Uedasan. It will be a bit far to commute to school, but Ganbatte!
